Araucania Ranco Multi

This is Ranco Multi from Araucania Yarns in Chile. It is hand dyed using traditional methods and each skein is slightly different.The colors are blends of shades.. Ranco comes in 100g skeins with 376 yards to the skein. It knits on US #3 needles at around 7.5 stitches to the inch. It is 75% wool and 25% nylon - the nylon adds a bit of stretch. One skein is sufficient for an adult pair of socks. However, this yarn can be used for much more than socks- it is ideal for cardis and sweaters too!   There are two new shades for Fall 2008.
