 This book by Rachel Henderson and Sarah Hazell is aimed at crochet newcomers.  However, even those of you who are competent with a hook, will like some of the projects.
The book starts by teaching how to crochet with large clear diagrams. It then moves on to fancy stitches, shaping, using beads and sequins, making pompoms and spirals, felting and sewing up.
The next section contains 25 projects for men and women including bags, scarves, hats, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, tops,oven gloves and other useful accessories that are fun and fast to make.
Rowan yarns are used throughout and lots of the projects are ideal for using up oddments.
