Knitting Wihout Tears was published in 1971. It is not a book full of glossy photos but rather a wonderful guide to knitting techniques.
Elizabeth writes in an entertaining way and explains her thinking behind the techniques, some of which are not the standard way of doing things.
She disliked sewing up ( a woman after my own heart) and so there is a chapter devoted to the seamless sweater and its variations along with patterns. There are also patterns for hats and socks and lots of information on the various sort of sock heels.
There are lots of diagrams and photos illustrating her points.
This is a really different book which will have something new for the most experienced knitter.
It is in good condition with no writing or marks. The top edge of the front cover is very slightly faded.
