This pattern book from Laines Plassard contains 53 patterns for a wide range of jackets, sweaters, cardis, ponchos, gloves, hats, shawls and scarves.
Each design is illustrated with a full color photo in a fold out style book and the instructions are in a separate book. This is nice as it means you will keep the color photos in great condition as you can just use the instruction part when you are actually knitting. The instructions are in English.

There is a place for notes at the end of each pattern, suggestions for substitute yarns and good diagrams.
