Brooklyn Tweed Polar Hat with Earflaps

The Polar Hat was designed by Michele Wang for Brooklyn Tweed.

The main body of the hat is worked first - circularly - from the bottom up. You then pick the earflaps up from the base of the hat and they are worked from the top down. You then work an I-cord tassel with the remaining stitches. Optionally, you can add a pom-pom to the crown of the hat. 

You will need three shades of worsted weight yarn : 45 yards of dominant colour 1, 20 yards of dominant colour 2, and 100 yards of background colour. There are four double sided pattern pages with charts and full instructions including a pom-pom tutorial
