Ilga Leja Kauni Messenger Bag

 This is a new design from Ilga for Fall 2009 that can be knitted iin Kauni Multi Effekt yarn. It is a no nonsense satchel style bag that is roomy enough to take a laptop, books or, of course, your knitting..
The bag can either be knitted in any chunky weight wool that can be felted or in Kauni Multi Effekt.  You will need 656 yards of chunky yarn or 1968 yards of Kauni yarn as it is used tripled. You will also need US #10.5 and US #10.75 needles and two large buttons.
The bag is knitted in three separate pieces that are pieced together and then felted in the washing machine. This is an easy knit that makes a splendid bag.
There are 3 double sided pattern pages together with a front page showing the design in color. It is housed in a polythene sleeve that is ready punched for filing.
