The Kenya cowl reflects the strings of beads worn around the necks of certain African tribes. Sometimes these beads cover their shoulder too and Ilga has designed this cowl to mimic this.
It is worked in the round from the top down and only takes 252 yards of double knitting yarn.
It measures 20" around the neck, 45" around the bottom and is 16" deep and will fit most people.
You will need US #5 and #7 circular needles 40 and 60 cms long, stitch markers and a tapestry needle.
There are two double sided pattern pages together with a color photo of the cowl and the whole thing is housed in a polythene sleeve ready for filing.
