The Scrunchie Hat is a quick and easy pattern that is ideal for  using up small amounts of yarn.
You can use any one weight of yarn from Fingering to Worsted and vary the colors as you please. There is a chart for various head sizes which tells you the gauge you need to achieve for various needle sizes.
The crown of the hat can be omitted leaving you with a wide head band. Lucy gives lots of hints and tips and this would be an ideal to knit for a Christmas gift.
