Rowan Erika Knight Simple Knits for Little Cherubs

 This collection of vintage-style knits for children aged two to five years has instant appeal. Erika has used muted colors with a retro feel and most garments can be made for boys or girls by changing the colors.
There are sweaters, tops, cardigans, hats, scarves, mittens, socks and toy animals. Only garter stitch and stocking stitch are used and so even a novice knitter can feel confident of good results.
There are lots of subtle finishing details such as delicate picot edgings, garter stitch trims on pockets, a touch of color on a cuff or a simple fair isle border on a cardigan - little touches that lift the garments from ordinary to special.
