Rowan Magazine #47

Rowan Magazine #47 contains 51 designs along with lots of articles and features.
The designs are in three sections: Serenity, Jamboree and Halcyon Days.
Serenity features delicate feminine designs knitted in Kidsilk Haze, Purelife Organic DK, Summer Tweed and Fine Milk Cotton.
Jamboree has casual everyday wear garments in Handknit Cotton, Fine and DK Milk Cotton and Cotton Glace.
Halcyon Days was inspired by the faded grandeur of Valetta in Malta and lots of the designs have open textures. Yarns used are Pima Cotton, Summer Tweed, Lenpur Linen and Fine Milk Cotton.
In addition to these three patterns sections, there is a homewear collection by Kaffe Fassett which includes throws and cushions and the patterns are available as free downloads from Rowan's web site.
There is a feature on the history of outdoor knitting, an article on the 3 winners of the Rowan Design Award 2009, a guide to basic crochet stitches and lots more.
