Shibori Knitting Felt is by Alison Crowther-Smith who has worked as a design consultant for Rowan.
It adds an extra dimension to felted knits, drawing on Japanese techniques including beading, pleating and embroidery to manipulate and decorate the fabric to great effect. Knitted in bobbles and Shibori-style "bumps" (produced by marbles being tied into the knitting before it is felted and then removed> can be used to make wonderful fabricc with a raised texture too.
There are textured bags, scarves, wraps and corsages for your wardrobe, or throws, cushion covers, placemats and coasters for your home.
Yarns used are all Rowan and include Kid Classic, Felted Tweed, Kidsilk Haze and Scottish Tweed DK and Aran.
The book is soft back and has 112 pages all in full color.
