Rowan Silkstones or Grainy Silk were used for this pattern - neither of these exist anymore but you can use any yarn as long as it knits to the correct gauge on US#3 needles.
The cardigan is a cropped style with a V neck and 9 buttons. It is knitted in a cable and reversed rib pattern with a deep bottom band.
