 This is a knitting magazine produced in the UK called Yarn Forward. This is Issue 12, for May 2009. It is aimed at the more accomplished knitter and does not seek to teach basic skills.
All the designs are original and have not appeared in any other publication or book..  These include some an argyle tank top,a lace mobius cowl, lace socks, a cabled sweater, a wrapover top, an "animal" sweater and lots more..
There is an interview with Terry Pratchett, an article about yarn shopping in Iceland, info' about lace knitting books, a tutorial on weaving, book and yarn reviews and lots more!  There is also the opportunity to take part in knitting a mystery blanket!
Produced in full color, this magazine is just a bit different from the other UK ones - produced with the serious knitter in mind.
