Jamieson's of Shetland

Four generations have worked with wool in the business which is now Jamieson's Spinning in Sandness, a small and very remote community on the far Westside of Shetland. The business was started in the 1890's by Robert Jamieson, who brought knitwear spun and knitted by crofters, from their own wool.
Nowadays Jamieson spin their owm wool and it is 100% Shetland. As well as yarn, they produce tweed which is sold worldwide.
