Delivery & shipping

How it's calculated

Shipping is calculated by weight and destination. The more a parcel weighs, the more it costs to send.

Yarn orders of $30 or more  ship FREE worldwide but please remember that, if you add books or needles or anything else to the order, you will be charged shipping for these items - it is ONLY yarn that ships free. Unfortunately, due to problems with the Russian and Kazakhstan postal service, this offer does not extend to customers living in those countries. The free shipping is for standard Royal Mail shipping, if you require tracking there will be a charge

Within the UK

When you view your basket, you will be able to select a shipping method. I ship by Royal Mail. Within the UK you have the option of selecting First Class or Special Delivery.

Special Delivery guarantees next day delivery and needs a signature.

Outside the UK

Outside the UK I send by Royal Mail Air Mail and you will have the option of selecting regular Air Mail or International Signed For. The latter is trackable on-line and needs a signature.

Providing your order is received by 3pm UK time, I can ship the same day.
Orders placed after 3pm will ship on the following day. I do not ship on Saturdays or Sundays.

Delivery times

  • Delivery times are usually next day within the UK
  • 4 -5 days to Western Europe
  • 6 - 7 days for Eastern Europe
  • 7 - 10 days for the rest of the world.

There are occasional delays caused by extra security or customs checks but these are few and far between.

Please note: Royal Mail does not class a UK order as missing until 15 days from the date of despatch. For orders outside of the UK, this period rises to 30 days from the date of despatch.

An excellent personal service. I heard from Jannette promptly about possible delays over the Christmas period but the yarns came quickly and efficiently. Will order from Jannette again.

This is a soft, luxurious yarn with great loft. I find it economical as well. Have used it for several items, this time it was for a beanie hat.

This collection by Quail Studio is interesting and useful. I have made one hat already and will most probably knit two others. Well written patterns.

As I had bought this yarn two years ago I did not expect to be able to get the same dye lot but amazingly you had it. Thank you

I placed an order for some patterns to be sent to New Zealand and was very impressed with the hig quality service I received with both great communication and prompt delivery. Love the patterns and the Rowan magazine is more like a book than a magazine with beautiful photography.

only place i could find this kit
Wednesday, 11 January 2017  |  Nancy

I saw this kit on the Artyarns website, but wasn't very successful in finding a merchant in the US. Janette had by far the best pricing, communication was great, and my kit arrived quickly considering it came international mail and in great shape. The yarn is VERY fine cashmere and I haven't started the crochet version of the scarf yet - but I'm looking forward to completing a gorgeous item.

Considering we've had poor mail service due to icy streets I was very happy to get this in the mail today. I really like this yarn!

Beautiful yarn

- seems almost too nice and silky soft for socks, I think this will end up as mittens or a scarf!
